Clinton County Sheriff’s Office Provides Guidelines and Updates on Winter Weather Advisories

As winter weather approaches, the Clinton County Sheriff’s Office is committed to keeping residents informed about hazardous road conditions. Working in collaboration with the Clinton County Highway Department and the Ohio Department of Transportation (ODOT), the Sheriff’s Office follows the guidelines established by the Buckeye State Sheriff’s Association (BSSA) to assess and determine the severity of road conditions during winter storms.

While weather advisories may sometimes feel inconvenient, their purpose is to safeguard the public, warn of dangerous roadways, and enable road crews to clear routes safely and efficiently. These decisions are made carefully, taking into account current road conditions and advice from public transportation experts.
